All year long
From the 13th to the 20th century. The Musée des Beaux-Arts is the successor to an original museum created from state donations bequeathed by Napoléon III after Nice was annexed to France in 1860. In 1928 it was located in a magnificent house built on the initiative of the Russian princess Kotchoubey in 1878 and finished by the American, Thompson.A century later, the charm of the building is still apparent thanks to the remarkable high ceilings and a huge marble staircase. It was further enhanced in 2002 by an important donation of 75 sculptures by Michel de Tarnowsky (Nice, 1870-1946), thanks to the association of his friends, created in 1992 by his daughter Françoise. The collections of paintings and sculptures go from the 13th to the 20th century.
