Stately palace, stately collections.

A stately building constructed in the middle of the 17th century for the Lascaris-Vintimille counts and listed as a historical monument, the palace has been restored since 1963 and turned into a museum.

The palace, in a Baroque and Genoan style, retains a huge staircase adorned with frescoes and luxuriously decorated drawing rooms.
Flemish tapestries, furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries as well as collections of earthenware from the same period are currently on display.

The Palais Lascaris will soon become Nice’s museum of music and will help to promote the prestigious collection of the city's ancient musical instruments.
